RumBabaa is an all-day coffee and vinyl-led café in Andheri West, Mumbai, designed around the simple idea of good coffee, good music and time well spent. Rather than functioning like a conventional quick-service café, RumBabaa encourages guests to slow down, stay longer and enjoy the atmosphere, whether they come for coffee, food, music, conversation or simply some quiet time. A defining feature of RumBabaa is its vinyl music experience. Records play throughout the day from a dedicated vinyl setup, giving the café a more intentional and analogue character. The music and atmosphere change naturally with the day—from calm mornings and relaxed afternoons to a more social evening environment. The café's interiors are influenced by Japanese minimalism, using natural materials, warm lighting and uncluttered design. The space is spread across three levels, with regular café seating on the ground floor, a vinyl-focused area upstairs and a small, unusual reading nook tucked between the levels. This creates several different environments within the same café, from casual seating to a quieter corner for reading or working.
