About this Concert
Shyam Rang: Celebrating the Legend of Krishna is a soulful Indian classical music presentation by NCPA that celebrates Krishna through the rich traditions of classical and semi-classical vocal music. Led by Ronkini Gupta and accompanied by accomplished musicians on tabla, mridangam, flute and harmonium, the performance explores the poetic, devotional and philosophical dimensions of Krishna's story. Through musical forms including thumri and bhajan, the presentation brings to life the emotional expressions associated with Krishna, Radha and Meera, creating an intimate evening of music, devotion and Indian cultural heritage
