About this Art Exhibition
G5A is a multidisciplinary cultural platform created to support experimental and independent arts practice. Its warehouse is a repurposed industrial space in Mumbai's former mill district, containing a Black Box, Study, Terrace and PORT Kitchen & Bar. The organisation curates and produces programmes spanning contemporary performance, visual culture, cinema, music, dance and interdisciplinary practices. The Black Box is particularly important to G5A's programming, hosting performances, screenings, conversations and experimental work. Its Cinema House programme, for example, presents independent short, documentary and fiction films alongside conversations with filmmakers and audiences. G5A also works beyond its physical venue through cityLAB, Forum, Academy and Imprint, supporting artists, communities, cultural research and participatory urban initiatives.
